“I am a portrait oil painter who also paints landscapes and still life. My interests lie in Classical Realism, “a contemporary style with retro appeal”. I strive to meld formal art training with an influence from the Impressionists. “Classical” ideals of order and beauty are what interest me. I practice techniques which pre-date Modern Art. My work is “Realism” as I paint from life. By focusing on the human form, culture and the land, I look for what we hold dear in modern day to preserve the riches of beauty.
