An Evening of Creativity to benefit Baxter Arts Centre
Step back in time and experience the Salon of the 19th century. Behind an unassuming door you’ll find a resplendent speakeasy with models poised for life drawing. Enjoy a glass of wine and take a stroll of the grounds where you can observe or partake in an en plein air demonstration at the famous dry-stone bridge.
The night at a glance:
5:00 - 7:00pm: en plein air painting & sketching at the Dry-Stone Bridge with Elizabeth Hutchinson.
5:00 - 9:00pm Still Life Drawing.
6:00 - 7:00pm: Tarot Reading
5:00 - 9:00pm: Life Drawing.
Semi-Draped and Undraped Life Drawing with models posing both inside and outside with opulent sets.
Speakeasy: Short 1-5 minute poses
The Bridge: Medium 5-10 min poses
The Loft Gallery: Longer poses leading to a sustained 60 min pose
Join us on Friday, July 15th from 5pm - 9pm, for a fundraising event unlike any other.
Reserve your spot and pay at the door.
PWYC, suggested minimum donation of $20.
Artists of every level are welcome, as are supporters of the arts. Bring your painting or sketching materials and join in with other artists. Materials for drawing will be available, including donkey benches for sketching.
Cheese and charcuterie with wine by the glass will be available for purchase. Please order your charcuterie in advance when you reserve your seat. Payment can be made at the event ($22 plus applicable taxes). This event is open to the public, however only those 19+ or those accompanied by their guardian, will have access to the Salon & Loft Gallery. Ticket holders will receive exclusive access to the Loft Gallery, where life drawing of longer sustained poses will be available.
