Founder's Corkscrew

This is our favourite corkscrew. It’s the corkscrew our Founder, Richard Karlo wanted for the winery. It was his favourite too.

This special corkscrew is made by Pull Tap, which is considered one of the best corkscrew producers in the world.

These are hand made in Spain.

What makes it different is the handle or “lever” is one solid piece of hand cast antique copper alloy, so it’s built to last – When you pick it up, you can just tell it’s a quality tool and you can feel it’s substantial weight.

On this Pull Tap, the screw itself, also known as an “auger’ or “worm” is bigger, so it more easily grips the cork and doesn’t pull out, and it’s made with titanium, so it will not break. The blade or “foil cutter” is also harder to keep its edge sharp. The “boot-lever” is a “two-step” so you can open a bottle like a pro. It also includes a bottle cap remover.

This is the last corkscrew you will ever need to buy. You can keep it for the rest of your life. There are only 214 of them in the world, which we bought to engrave with our logo. It’s a gift and a collector’s item to pass down from generation to generation.
