In celebration of PRIDE, we’re hosting a Drag Brunch with Qaptain Kit, Rowena Whey and Kenadie St. James. Come enjoy our all you can eat pancake brunch in our cozy Speakeasy while drag performers entertain you with song, dance and everything PRIDE.
Qaptain Kit (they/them) is a trans-nonbinary force of nature, interstellar musical talent, and riveting storyteller. Strap yourself in, or down (however you prefer) and ready yourself for a wild ride—your Qaptain will take you there and back again. Rowena Whey is one of Kingston's premiere drag entertainers. Since 2016 she has brought her energetic, soulful, frequently unorthodox, but always entertaining performances to multiple venues across Kingston, Southeastern Ontario, and parts of Alberta. With talents ranging from live singing, dancing, fashion, hosting, makeup, and lip syncing, they do it all. Also known as the “Queen of Wheat”, Rowena was the first drag queen ever to be pictured on a beer sold in the LCBO.
Kenadie St James hails from the southern USA originally. She recently celebrated her 23rd year in the art form. Growing up in drag in the pageant circuit she made a name for herself not only as an entertainer, but as a pageant dresser and makeup artist having 6 national titleholders under her tutelage including Canadas own Brook Lynn Hytes who she dressed for the Miss Continental Pageant the year she won. She moved to Hamilton Ontario in 2016 with her husband and dogs where she runs her own production company, CNR Productions, and is the Hostess at The Well bars in Hamilton and Toronto.
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with a mimosa made with our 2021 Bubble.
We make our pancake batter from scratch using local Jubilee Forest Farm's ground buckwheat made with Campbell's Orchards apple sauce and grilled at the bar for a cozy, yummy setting.
For toppings enjoy Koopmans Maple Mountain maple syrup, Melt butter and top with oat yogurt, chopped walnuts and, in celebration of PRIDE, a rainbow of fruit toppings.
